SAFETY COMMITTEE REPORT
Summer is in full swing, matches are underway, and the range is in good shape. These are the things that put a smile on our faces. Here are a few reminders to help us stay safe and keep those smiles. Keep barrels pointed downrange. Planning is continuing for the construction of the new barrier but in the meantime (always)keep barrel pointed downrange at all times.Check to see that the range is clear downrange before handling or loading firearms. Check with all shooters for an “All Clear” before going to change targets.Clean-up after yourself. Bring shot-up targets back and put them in the trash barrels. No long guns on the pistol range! Rifle and shot guns are allowed on the rifle range only.Be courteous. It’s your range, take care of it.
These are simple things but they take care of most of the problems that come up. Remember, once you shoot a bullet, it is still your bullet no matter where it goes, so be sure that you know where it stops. Thanks and have fun.
